Stevenage Re-imagined and Stevenage Festival held a launch event on 1 June 2019. Over 500 people attended this fantastic event, which featured:
A parade with 13 schools and over 200 participants
a carnival parade with instruments and art made by schools and play centres
6 local dancing and singing acts
arts and crafts stalls
This event embodied the partnership approach to delivering key aims, with contributions from Stevenage Festival, Stevenage Borough Council, Stevenage Arts Guild, Stevenage Music Centre, Woolenwick Infant and Nursery School, The Practice Roomz, and support from Arts Council England. It showcased Stevenage's creativity and spirit and has inspired us to keep doing more to highlight Stevenage as a destination creative town.
