Stevenage is participating in the county-wide partnership to enhance cultural provision in schools, with support provided by Stevenage Borough Council, Royal Opera House Bridge, Arts Council England, and the University of Hertfordshire. This programme of work will identify needs and commission new activity, which will be evaluated to inform further planning.
This coincides with a local schools network called Creative Network Stevenage, which is delivering new activity with cultural providers, training its SLiCE providers, achieving Artsmark, and growing its network and resources. The network is currently comprised of 7 Stevenage schools but is open to more! This partnership is led by Royal Opera House Bridge, Woolenwick Infant and Nursery School, Stevenage Borough Council, and supported by the Department for Education and Arts Council England.
